gRind Kitchen & Watering Hole needed a cohesive brand and the full suite of materials that come with running a restaurant — menus, gift cards, signage, web presence. This was a ground-up branding job where every touchpoint had to feel consistent, from the logo on the gift card to the layout of the brunch menu.

I designed menus for brunch, lunch, and dinner, each with its own format and feel while staying within the same visual system. The gift cards were produced in multiple formats (print-ready AI/EPS plus InDesign layouts) so they had flexibility for different print runs. QR codes for contactless menus became part of the package too — this was peak COVID-era restaurant adaptation.

The website was built on WordPress and I maintained backups throughout. Nothing flashy, just functional — a restaurant site needs to get people to the menu, the hours, and the location without any friction.

What I liked about this project was the discipline of it. Restaurant branding doesn’t leave a lot of room for ambiguity. The menu has to be readable, the gift card has to look worth giving, and the whole thing has to feel like one place.
