Bare Bones is a project I worked with over several years — music demos, concert video, and promotional photography. The Pittsburgh house concert video is a good representation of the work: intimate setting, clean audio, and camera work that stays out of the way of the performance.
Recording live music in a house concert setting is a specific challenge. The room acoustics are unpredictable, the lighting is whatever’s there, and you’re working in close quarters with an audience. But that’s also what makes the footage feel real — there’s an energy you don’t get in a studio.
